About the Project
FAKTUS is Europe's first neobank exclusively dedicated to serving SMEs in the construction industry. Founded in 2023, the fintech startup tackles a massive pain point: cash flow management and payment delays that frequently stall construction projects.
Conception & Strategy
The vision was to rethink financing. Instead of relying on traditional, slow banking models, FAKTUS conceived a project-specific financial solution. By intertwining invoice financing and material advances directly with the construction schedule, they could unlock liquidity precisely when builders need it.
Design & UX
The interface was designed to strip away the complexity of traditional banking portals. We focused on a dashboard that brings real-time cash flow, pending invoices, and upcoming project costs into a single, highly readable view tailored for busy construction site managers.
Development & Architecture
We utilized an agile methodology with 2-week sprints. The core challenge was building a secure and compliant banking backend while ensuring the frontend remained lightning fast. The application relies on a Node.js microservices architecture handling the complex risk-evaluation engine, communicating via GraphQL to a Next.js React frontend.
